Safety & Compliance

Enhanced Worker Safety

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends the following three practices, both to limit silica exposure and to ensure the general safety of abrasive blasting workers. The Dustless Blasting® system makes it easy to comply with these standards.

40/70 crushed recycled glass blast media

Silica-Free Abrasive

The Dustless Blaster uses a wide variety of abrasives, including 40/70 crushed recycled glass. This all-purpose abrasive contains less than 1% free silica.

Wet Delivery System

Water encapsulates the abrasive and coating being removed, which prevents them from becoming airborne and potentially inhaled.

Suppressing the dust plume also increases workers' visibility, reducing the risk of accidents.

Comfortable PPE

Although wet abrasive blasting reduces dust significantly, any blasting operation will create some dust. PPE is an important final step to enhance the comfort and safety of the blast operator.

No Dust Plume

Since debris is captured with water during the blasting process, Dustless Blasting is perfect for use in areas with strict environmental rules and regulations. 

No Runoff

Compared to power washing, which can use 240 gallons of water per hour, the Dustless Blaster only uses about 20 gallons of water per hour. 

Eco-Friendly Media

You can use organic media like corn cob and crushed walnut, as well as recycled crushed glass which is non-toxic, inert, and contains no heavy metals.
